Projects
Some examples of recent successful projects undertaken include:
- implemented a new travel approval and booking system for Monash University’s five Australian campuses within 3 months from approval to go-live. The travel spend is $34m for over 6,000 international and 4,600 domestic trips per annum; all 8,000 staff have system access. The previous customised SAP travel approval system was over-engineered and resulted in significant process and system problems. I met with stakeholders across the faculties and key central areas and secured stakeholder buy-in for the new Concur system.
- led a major review of all student services across Monash University recommending significant service delivery improvements through a new service delivery model, including system and operational improvements for student admissions and implementing a Student Contact Centre.
- undertook a strategic review for The University of Melbourne’s property division which included a review of the University’s property and facility management service delivery across its seven campuses. The review included a large number of consultations with key internal and external stakeholders and resulted in recommendations for a wide range of improvements in business operations, communication and customer service delivery.
- implemented the integration and administrative staff restructure of two faculties at The University of Melbourne over a 12 month period
- developed the strategy and applications for government and private sector grants for a major aged care organisation.
- Established new student service centres for The University of Melbourne to coincide with the introduction of the six new-generation Melbourne Model undergraduate degrees
- undertook a comprehensive overhaul of a large organisation’s policies and procedures, including re-writing these, developing clear guidelines with web access
- developed senior executive position descriptions, selection criteria and advertisements for a not-for-profit providing social services
- contributed to the development of the prospectus and communication strategy including development of new website for start-up public oil exploration and production company.
